Previously, Marilyn Dankner served on the NFRW Executive Committee as 4th vice president and as member-at-large.
During Dankner's term as Maryland FRW president from 1999-2003,
MFRW received the NFRW Betty Heitman Award for State Excellence for
its outreach, program and campaign activities, as well as
recognition for its public relations program and for its
participation in the NFRW Regents Program. In addition, Jodi
Nichols, MFRW's "My Favorite Teacher" nominee, was a finalist for
the national award in 2003.
A past board member of the Federal Forum, Dankner served as
president of two local Republican women's clubs and is the recipient
of several Republican awards. She has served as a district and
precinct chair and has been active in local, state and federal
campaigns, including as campaign manager for Maryland Delegate Jean
Cryor.
Since 2005, Dankner has been wintering in Florida, where she has
been active in the Republican Party of Martin County. She is on the
Executive Council and the Council of 100, as well as precinct chair.
She also founded a successful federated club, the first in Martin
County.
Dankner earned bachelor's and master's degrees from two Ohio
universities and taught school for eight years. She and her husband
have two sons and one daughter.
