Constance Dean Armitage of South Carolina After initiating a nationwide club commitment to re-elect Richard Nixon, Armitage traveled more than 200,000 miles in 1972 speaking on behalf of the President and emphasizing the importance of women's participation in the Republican Party. She also expanded programs on heritage and outreach to senior citizens and young women.
