Past Presidents

Mary Catherine Gibson of Michigan
President, 1957-61

During the election of 1958, Gibson coordinated plans and pooled efforts with the GOP to mobilize strength of Republican women and maximize the utilization of "woman power." Believing that the NFRW president should be provided with living quarters in the nation's capital, she successfully advocated for this change, which took effect during the term of her successor. Gibson also served as vice chair of the Michigan GOP and held numerous other positions within the Republican Party.
