Patricia Hutar of Illinois The former U.S. representative to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, Hutar focused her presidency on three fronts: mobilizing recruitment committees nationwide to seek candidates for public office, particularly women; promoting more women to campaign and party leadership positions; and, reaching out to young women. Hutar also served as co-chairman of the Republican National Committee. Hutar died April 14, 2010, at the age of 84. Read her obituary.
