Dorothy Andrews Elston Kabis of Delaware After the Republican defeat of 1964, Kabis began a crusade to rebuild the Republican Party. She criss-crossed the nation, often speaking to as many as five groups a day. A talented executive and administrator, Kabis later was appointed U.S. treasurer by Richard Nixon. In her honor, the NFRW established an internship program for young women.
