Ruth Parks of Colorado Parks instituted the Service Committee on Republican Education, whereby educational materials were distributed to each club on a monthly basis, and the Mamie Eisenhower Library Project, which is still in existence today. She also initiated the Double the Score contest, which led to significant increases in membership and finances and helped make the NFRW more self-sustaining.
