Women Republicans of Cleveland County (NC) treated the Gardner-Webb University's College Republicans to a home-cooked meal.

Congressman Patrick McHenry aide Will Bowen and district manager Brett Ketter spoke to the students about the opportunity for a paid position to knock on doors during the summer, and state Sen. Ted Alexander gave a legislative update. Club President Marge Hooper highlighted club achievements during the 2018 elections.

Other elected officials present were County Comm. Ronnie Whetstine, Register of Deeds Betsy Harnage, and County GOP Chair Dennis Bailey and Vice Chair Frank Dashnaw.

Former President Patti Alexander told students about the Betty Rendel and National Pathfinder scholarship programs, and a $50 check was presented to GWU College Republicans President Shelby Putnam to help support and promote the group.
