Club Spotlight

Valley County is a rural area in the mountains of west central Idaho, with a population of a little over 9,800. Much of our area is wilderness and uninhabited.

The Valley County Republican Women (VCRW) club has 27 members who live from McCall to Smiths Ferry, a distance of 46.7 miles. Our members are very active in the Republican Party and regularly support activities sponsored by the Valley County Republican Central Committee (VCRCC).

Through the efforts of the VCRW, members of both the VCRW and VCRCC purchased name tags to be worn proudly at Lincoln Day, and future events. This generated interest by other Valley County Republicans to have name tags made as well.

The VCRW did an outstanding job of supporting the local Lincoln Day event in a number of ways. Members used their interior decorating skills to turn the dining room into a patriotic tribute to our nation. They manned tables selling Republican motif wine glasses and patriotic jewelry to earn funds to support Republican/conservative values and positions.

In addition, many members donated time and materials towards both the live and silent auctions, such as: a red, white, & blue afghan; U.S. and Idaho State flags in decorative boxes; an elephant teapot; wine and glasses; and a decorative box of stationery. Their contributions netted $405.00 for the event, which will be used by VCRCC to promote Republican values and candidates in upcoming general elections.
