National
Federation of Republican Women
Launches Student Associate Membership
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The National
Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) has established a student
associate membership to reach out to younger Republican women
attending undergraduate or graduate colleges or universities.
Annual dues are $15.
The program connects college women with
established Republicans while allowing them to maintain their
busy college schedules. Student members have the opportunity to
be part of the NFRW, but are not obligated to attend meetings or
pay the full membership fee.
The mission of the NFRW is to join
conservative students with women in local Republican women's
clubs. The student associate membership assists college
Republican women in finding other females with like-minded
ideals and gives conservative women a support system while
attending liberal-leaning schools.
NFRW President Beverly Davis is proud of
the new program. "Student memberships give college Republican
women the opportunity to share their conservative values with
other women throughout the country," she said. "Our student
members represent 100 percent of our future, and we appreciate
the contribution they make to our organization."
Founded in 1938, the NFRW is one of the
largest women's political organizations in the country with
100,000 members and 1,800 local clubs nationwide. The grassroots
organization recruits and elects Republican candidates,
advocates the Party's philosophy and initiatives, and empowers
women in the political process.
