National Federation of Republican Women Urges
Federated States, Clubs to Support Fire Victims
(ALEXANDRIA, Va.) – In a nationwide alert
today, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) urged
its state and local organizations, as well as individual
members, to support fire relief efforts in California.
In a memo distributed by e-mail, NFRW
President Beverly Davis also relayed contact information for
local American Red Cross chapters and other agencies accepting
aid and contributions on behalf of victims of the fires in
Southern California.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with those
suffering in the wake of these terrible fires,” Davis said.
“Since its founding, the NFRW has been committed to helping our
fellow citizens in need. Our members across the nation are eager
to give assistance of every kind, and the NFRW’s goal is to
provide them with the information and resources they need to
successfully do this.”
Founded in 1938, the NFRW is one of the
largest women’s political organizations in the country with
1,825 local clubs nationwide. The grassroots organization
recruits and elects Republican candidates, advocates the Party’s
philosophy and initiatives, and empowers women in the political
process.
