 National Federation of Republican Women
Congratulates Candidates on Historic Elections

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Sue Lynch, president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued the following statement today:

“The National Federation of Republican Women couldn't be more pleased with the results of Tuesday's elections. Not only did the Republican Party make historic gains, but Republican women candidates played a key role in helping the GOP recapture the U.S. House, several state legislatures and two governorships, while crossing several milestones along the way. The NFRW is also proud of the contributions made by its 75,000-plus members, who worked tirelessly at the grassroots to help take back America in this election. We now are looking forward to the 112th Congress, in which the NFRW will aggressively support the implementation of the House GOP's 'Pledge to America.'”

Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation and in several U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
