National Federation of Republican Women
to Sponsor
Nationwide Voter Registration Drive
Clubs, States to Host
Local Drives as Part of Effort
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – In anticipation of the upcoming primary
elections in many states, the National Federation of Republican
Women (NFRW) is sponsoring a nationwide voter registration drive
during the week of May 9-15 and is encouraging its state
federations and more than 1,500 clubs to host local drives in their
communities as part of the effort.
The NFRW is sponsoring the project as part of its comprehensive
campaign program this year and will host a second nationwide
voter registration drive during the week of September 12-18.
“We have a golden opportunity to take back America in November,
to return to the founding principles of our nation,” NFRW
President Sue Lynch says. “It is critical that Americans are
registered to vote, and that they exercise this right to voice
their opinion at the polls. Since its founding in 1938, the NFRW
has been committed to protecting the ballot box, and registering
voters is one of many ways we continue to build on this legacy.”
Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of
active members in local clubs across the nation and in several
U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political
organizations in the country. The grassroots organization
recruits and elects Republican candidates, advocates the Party’s
philosophy and initiatives, and empowers women in the political
process.
