Supports Wisconsin Governor

Urges AWOL Democrat Senators to Return to State, Work With Walker

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Sue Lynch, president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued the following statement in support of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's efforts to put the state's fiscal affairs in order.

"On behalf of the National Federation of Republican Women, I applaud Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's plan to rein in government spending, reduce the state's deficit and balance the state's budget. As a resident of Wisconsin, I urge the 14 missing Democrat state senators who are hiding out in Illinois to return immediately and start working with Governor Walker on a solution to our state's serious financial issues. It's time to act like adults and make the tough decisions that will help put Wisconsin back on the path to solvency and prosperity."

Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation and in several U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
