National Federation of Republican Women Praises
U.S. Military, Intelligence Experts for Capturing Bin Laden

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Sue Lynch, president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued the following statement about the apprehension and death of terrorist Osama bin Laden.

“On behalf of the National Federation of Republican Women, I send profound thanks and gratitude to our exceptional military forces and counterterrorism experts who worked with great diligence, courage and skill over the past 10 years to successfully apprehend Osama bin Laden. Although we must remain ever vigilant to the threat of terrorism, words cannot express how indebted our nation is to those who carried out this perilous mission to bring bin Laden to the final justice he deserved. Our prayers continue to be with those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001, and in other terrorist attacks engineered by bin Laden, that the justice administered to this evil terrorist yesterday brings them some amount of peace and relief.”

Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation and in several U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
