National Federation of Republican Women Urges
President to Honor Nation's Historic Alliance with Israel

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Sue Lynch, president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued the following statement in response to President Barack Obama's call for Israel to pull back to its pre-1967 borders.

“The NFRW is disappointed by the comments President Barack Obama made today regarding Israel and its borders. We urge President Obama to honor the important historic alliance between the United States and Israel, and to treat the Israeli leaders and people with respect. Palestinians and Israelis should work out the borders of their countries through their own negotiations, and President Obama should encourage both Israel and Palestine to come to the table to negotiate peace for future generations.”

Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation and in several U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
