National Federation of Republican Women:
'Biden Should Be Ashamed of Himself'

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Sue Lynch, president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued this statement in response to recent comments made by Vice President Joe Biden:

“The NFRW denounces the comments Vice President Joe Biden made recently, all in the name of politics. To suggest that he wished his political opponents ‘knew what it felt like to be robbed or raped’ is not only outrageous, but also demeaning to victims of violent crimes, particularly women. This isn’t the first time Vice President Biden has used inappropriate, insensitive language for cheap political gain. It is a shameful pattern that should be excoriated by the media, and elected officials and leaders in both parties.”

Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation and in several U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
