National Federation of Republican
Women
Seeks to
Honor Our Troops Today, and Every Day ALEXANDRIA, Va. –
Sue Lynch, president of the National Federation of Republican
Women (NFRW), issued this statement in recognition of Veterans
Day:
“Today, it is our honor and duty to
salute our men and women in uniform, both past and present,
and to pay tribute to those who have paid the ultimate price
to preserve the freedoms we as Americans often take for
granted. But while today is a special day set aside
specifically for this purpose, the NFRW strives to support our
troops and veterans every day, year-round, through both words and
actions. It is one of our main missions as an organization. We
can never thank our troops and their families enough, or show them enough
gratitude for their service and sacrifice.”
Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of
active members in local clubs across the nation and in several
U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political
organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works
to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican
Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through
political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness
of women in the cause of good government.
