National Federation of Republican Women Decries
Latest Chapter in Mythical 'Republican War on Women' Saga

Democrats Use Historic, Bi-Partisan Violence Against Women Act for Cheap Political Gain

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Rae Lynne Chornenky, President of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued the following statement regarding the Democrat-manufactured controversy surrounding the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.

“Here we go again," Chornenky said. "Democrats are using the historic Violence Against Women Act to write the next chapter in their mythical 'Republican War on Women' saga. Although there are distinct policy differences between Republicans and Democrats on the details of the reauthorization process, both parties agree that the law is important and should be reauthorized. But Democrats have chosen to play the monumentally offensive 'Republicans hate women' card. As a Republican woman who represents thousands of strong Republican women across the country, I find this political tactic to be dishonest and desperate. Stop insulting the women of America with this inanity!"

Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation and in several U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
