Republican Women Energized, Ready to Work for Candidate
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Rae Lynne Chornenky,
president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW),
issued the following statement congratulating Mitt Romney on securing enough delegates to win the Republican nomination for president.
"The National Federation of Republican Women is proud to congratulate Mitt Romney on securing the 1,144 delegates needed to become the GOP nominee for president. We are excited to have a determined and dedicated leader like the former governor at the helm of our party as we prepare to take back the White House and Senate.
"The NFRW and Republican women across the country are proud to have a candidate who has been a leader in both the public and private sectors, and who understands what it will take to get our flagging economy moving again and to create job opportunities for Americans. Republican women realize that the journey to November 6th will be a long and hard one, but we are confident that Mitt Romney's vision and leadership for our country will prevail on Election Day. We will be working tirelessly to elect Mitt Romney and Republicans who will get our country back on track."
Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of
active members in local clubs across the nation and in several
U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political
organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works
to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican
Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through
