The White County Republican Women’s club has been very busy this year.

In January our speaker was Doug Gray with I’m a 10 Wellness Center. He gave us an update on mental health awareness in our county and state.

In February our speaker was Kathy Bryan a human trafficking survivor. She told us her heart wrenching story & how the hand of God protected her through two years of a living nightmare of her being sexually trafficked while she was a teenager. Kathy now travels all over the world telling her story and giving encouragement to those less than 2% who have escaped human trafficking. She works with the Rebecca Binder Initiative.

In March our speaker was Paul Bunn with our local Veterans Outreach Ministries Center. Not only did Paul serve our country for 18 years, he now serves our veterans who need assistance of any kind in our county and state. They rely on donations only for this ministry.

Our WCRW Caring for America project is collecting cancelled postage stamps for our wounded Veterans.

In April our speaker was Brittany Dyas with our local Community Action Programs for Central Arkansas. She informed us of several programs that are available for children and families who are within the poverty income guidelines. Among those programs are: weather & energy conservation, food pantry, light and heat program, rental assistance & homeless program. They also have a Real Program for high school students, 7-12 grade. Students are given packets simulating real life events which could happen. The simulations include: getting a job, going to college, having children, getting pregnant, or going to jail. All children have to overcome their situations to pass their simulation class.

Our upcoming meeting in May will be Kim Reynolds from Friends For Life, which is a local clinic for pregnant girls who are given every alternate option rather than abortion.

The White County Republican Women’s club members are looking forward to what the rest of this year holds! We are promoting continued growth and membership as well as wonderful speakers, great fellowship, and most of all, promoting our Republican platform and values!
