We are so excited to be a part of NFRW. ACT Republican Women held its organizational meeting in March. We are a group of ladies that realize that VICTORY2020 needs us! We desire to be active and hold fast to our traditional, conservative Republican values. Our ladies realize that the reelection of our President and electing Chief Justice Newby, as well as taking the other 2 open seats on the Supreme Court, is crucial to our Nation and our State. This will not happen without a plan, hard work, and lots of money.

We chartered the Club with 11 ladies and have added several more. Our next meeting was in April. We had 25 people in attendance. Of those 25, we got 2 new full members and 2 new associate members. We were privileged and honored to have three special guests at this meeting. Susan Tillis, wife of our Republican US Senator Thom Tillis, was our guest speaker. She spoke about her Foundation and the Red, White, and Bundled Project. We are planning a baby shower for July!

Also, in attendance was Kathy Flett, theNC  Western Regional VP, who installed our officers. Kathy Hildreth, NCFRW Asst. Treasurer, came with her. It truly was an honor and so exciting to have all three of these ladies celebrate with us.

ACT RW has an ambitious plan for fundraising, volunteering, and legislative action. In early May, we had a booth at a local festival and attended the NCFRW COnvention in Asheville, NC.  On May 15th, our President attended the NCFRW Legislative Day in Raleigh, NC.  We have a team that is actively updating us on local, state, and national legislation, Our Legislative Chair, Kristen Baker, is AMAZING!!!

On May 25th, we held our first fundraising event at the JE Broyhill Civic Center in Lenoir. It was not your typical fundraising dinner. We had a night of dressing up, dancing, Comedian, magician, and Valerie Johnson from the Frederick Douglas Foundation. At out event, we had 3 Lt. Gov. candidates, a Commisioner of Labor candidate, Supreme COurt Candidate, and candidates for Chair and Vice Chair of NCGOP.

ACT RW is working planning a Golf Tournament for August and we are also planning a Ladies Leadership Conference on Nov. 2.

We look forward to working with NCFRW and the NFRW to keep NC Red!
