Do you agree with President Trump’s decision to call off the planned military strike against Iran on June 21?

I absolutely trust President Trump’s decision, as he is privy to critical information that directs his final decisions.

Yes, I agree for political reasons. Too many ill-informed voters and Democrats (but I repeat myself) assume Trump and Bolton are warmongers looking for any excuse to take us to war. The downing of our unmanned drone, though a serious offense, was the perfect opportunity for the administration to exhibit discretion. If Iran continues to escalate tensions, Trump can respond with force without having taken the first opportunity to do so. Unfortunately, these sorts of political considerations must be taken into account to prevent "bad optics." Good for Trump for making the right call in this instance.

President Trump is no pushover.....he knows exactly what he is doing.

It was a no-brainer after the cities were leaked in which the ICE raids would take place.

This decision by Trump once again displays his Presidential acumen. This move dispelled Iran’s internal propaganda and gave even more clarity to Iranian citizens and other countries the true nature of this oppressive and violent regime. Brilliant.

Let the man lead. He is our president. I am so tired of all the Dems and many Republicans who are anti president. They would rather be socialist and go to war. Locally if you don't support a candidate or a person in office you keep you mouth closed and work with them. Change is made at the election box if you don't like the present outcomes. The sticker on my car says. "Suck it up Buttercup Trump is President."

I, too, would agree it was the right response for political reasons. Hope it helps our allies see Trump in a less apprehensive light. And, hopefully, Iran will think twice before their next move. However, when there is a next Iranian move, there isn't any alternative but a strong measure. UNMANNED drone circumstances allowed this leeway. The Middle East is, historically & currently, a quagmire in which we've allowed our nation to become embroiled. Now, a mistake of long standing!

I, too, believe that President Trump know what he is doing. By standing down when a strike had been ordered, I think he prevented us from a war. And by switching to more economic penalties, I think he is targeting the right people in Iran.

I do not think he should have made any public comments about his intentions. After meeting with his advisers and them weighing all the options, a press release would have been totally appropriate.
