No Child Left Behind

ADVOCACY PLAN
UPDATED FOR 2008

In 2001, President George W. Bush introduced the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. Congress passed this legislation in December of the same year, and on January 8, 2002, the President signed the bill into law.

Since the 2000 campaign, the National Federation of Republican Women's has supported the President's education plan and has helped to foster a positive image and educate citizens on its behalf.

NCLB has received both praise and criticism. The amount of information available on the program has led to a distortion of the facts and opened the door for liberal attacks. It is time for the NFRW to recharge support for NCLB through educating our communities at the grassroots level and in the schools through students, teachers and parents.

The following program was designed with this goal in mind. Compassionate conservatism is a Republican belief that sparks the desire in all of us to leave no child behind. The NFRW challenges each of you to make a difference in your community!
