REAGAN LEADERSHIP AWARD
The NFRW established the Ronald
Reagan Leadership Award in 2005 to recognize the outstanding leadership of one state
president, and to honor the legacy of President Ronald Reagan. The
award is presented every two years at the Biennial Convention.
Dena Barnes, president of the
North Carolina FRW, was named the winner of the 2011 award at
the 36th Biennial Convention. She was among five state
selected as finalists based on overall leadership
and initiation of new programs, increases in membership,
participation in national programs, and excellence in public
relations and campaign efforts.
As the recipient of the 2011 NFRW Ronald Reagan Leadership
Award, Barnes received a limited-edition Waterford crystal
"Centennial Celebration Vase" engraved with the official
Reagan Centennial logo (Reagan Presidential Library).
