  Public Speaking – Stand Up and Deliver

Toastmasters offers a proven way to improve your communication skills. By participating in this fun and supportive Toastmasters workshop, you will become a better speaker and leader and gain confidence in whatever path you’ve chosen in life. Learn to deliver great presentations and speeches, influence people with your message and be a better listener.

  Leadership – Be a Mentor . . . Leave a Legacy

Are you interested in starting a mentoring program in your local club? Need some tips? Plan to attend the Leadership Development Committee’s mentoring workshop! Some of the best NFRW mentors and leaders will discuss the topics of goal setting, program development, best available resources and tips for becoming and remaining a mentor.

  Focusing on Retirement – Building the Lifestyle You Deserve

What does retirement mean to you? How much should you invest to reach your retirement goals? This free information exchange will provide insights and strategies to help you build the retirement you want and deserve. You also are invited to schedule a no-obligation, complimentary retirement review with Chapman.

  Political Panel – Republican Women in Politics

Several women who have made a difference in Republican politics will participate in a panel discussion aimed at inspiring and equipping you for success in social movements and civic organizations.

  Time Management – Finding the Time in Your Life

With all women do today, finding time to be a “good American” can be difficult. Chriss Winston, author of “How to Raise an American,” will teach you how to incorporate patriotism into your every day activities.

  Following the Financial Rules – Recognizing Reporting Requirements
Location: Mesquite B/Convention Center
Presenter: Christine Oster

Keeping track of money for a state or local club can be a difficult task. An even more daunting task is learning and understanding the rules that govern 527 organizations. This workshop will teach you how to understand your fiscal responsibilities related to topics such as developing a budget, comprehending a profit and loss statement, recording retention guidelines, and complying with the latest reporting laws that govern 527 organizations. Bring your questions! Recommended for state and club treasurers and presidents.

  The All-New and Different Razzle Dazzle Road Show – Put Your Best Foot Forward
Location: Smoketree A-C/Convention Center
Presenter: Karen Bayless

New for 2008! The goal of the RDRS is to share information with clubs, up close and personally. The objective is to create enthusiasm within the membership of each club, thereby enabling its leadership to fully engage more volunteers in the club’s success. If you are currently trained as an RDRS presenter, please attend this workshop to stay certified to present in 2008.

  Database Workshop – Maintain Your Membership Records and Maximize Their Use
Location: Mesquite C/Convention Center
Presenters: Clifford Sheppard and Deborah Zarnoch

Designed to train both new and seasoned database users, this session is essential for state treasurers and membership chairs. Database accuracy ensures delivery of membership benefits, so don’t miss this one-of-a-kind training!
