2013 is a year of celebration, reflection and contemplation for the National Federation of Republican Women, as we celebrate 75 years of excellence in bringing together thousands of Republican women to work toward our common goals of promoting Republican principles, objectives, policies and candidates.
The NFRW kicked off the 75th anniversary celebration in early March during the NFRW Spring Board of Directors Meeting in Arlington, Va. Attendees enjoyed a festive cake (pictured right), as well as a special tribute video featuring U.S. House and Senate GOP leaders and other GOP elected officials who wished the NFRW "Happy Birthday."
The NFRW would like to recognize and thank the producers of the videoŚNFRW 4th Vice President Lisa Roper and Kim Chambers, both of the Texas Federation of Republican Women, and Isaac Rodriguez.
We continued to celebrate our 75th year throughout 2013, with the grand finale held at the 37th Biennial Convention during the Sunday luncheon on September 22. The event featured a special program and an expanded version of the anniversary tribute video.
Members can mark this special occasion with anniversary items available for purchase. Members, clubs, and states are also encouraged to host their own local celebrations, and to consider serving as sponsors of the 75th Anniversary Celebration at the convention. See below for related links.
The NFRW was founded in 1938 when Marion Martin called a meeting at the Palmer House in Chicago to organize hundreds of independent Republican women's clubs across the country into a national organization.
