SPRING BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
March 12-15, 2008

HIGHLIGHTS:

The NFRW Board of Directors met in Washington, D.C., March 12-15, 2008, for the spring board meeting. More than 300 NFRW leaders attended the meeting to conduct routine business and to prepare for the 2008 elections.

Voting members of the board unanimously passed a resolution endorsing John McCain for president, as well as three other resolutions. To read the resolutions, click here. To read the related news release, click here.

“We are energized and enthusiastic about Senator McCain,” NFRW President Shirley Sadler said. “Our members are committed to his presidential campaign and are working at the grassroots in every state to turn out voters to the polls for him and our other Republican candidates in November.”

In addition, attendees participated in leadership development, membership and technology workshops, as well as heard from a diverse line-up of Republican officials and leaders regarding the upcoming elections, including House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH); U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao; Jo Ann Davidson, co-chairman of the Republican National Committee; and, Judy Black, Women for McCain. On Wednesday, March 12, Capitol Regents and Regents visited the White House for tea at the invitation of First Lady Laura Bush. In addition, Capitol Regents met with President George W. In addition, many attendees participated in tours of the Pentagon on March 12 and 13.
