Highlights
NEW LEADERS ELECTED
Voting members of the board were tasked with filling a vacancy on the NFRW Executive Committee. Joyce Smith of Indiana was elected 1st vice president in Orlando, but resigned late last year due to personal reasons.Rae Lynne Chornenky of Arizona was elected to fill the position of 1st vice president. This election created more vacancies on the committee, and subsequently, Patt Parker of Maryland was elected 2nd vice president, and then Jo Mitchell of New Mexico was elected member-at-large. The state presidents elected a new coordinator. Rita Wray, president of the Mississippi FRW, will serve as a liaison between the state presidents and the NFRW Executive Committee.
RESOLUTIONS
Four resolutions were approved by the board, including one rejecting nationalized health care. Read the resolutions in their entirety.
FUNDRAISING
The NFRW Fundraising Committee's silent auction and raffles raised more than $9,500 for the NFRW. In addition, the Membership Committee's new Legacy Club raised more than $15,000. Thank you to these committees for their efforts and success.

Attendees also had the opportunity to attend a campaign workshop to prepare for the upcoming elections, as well as workshops on leadership, membership, technology, public relations, and programs.
CAPITOL REGENTS AND REGENTS EVENT

AN OKLAHOMA WELCOME
Members of the Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women served as hostesses for the board meeting and put together an impressive itinerary that included an Oklahoma-themed dinner and program, as well as tours of several key sights. On behalf of the NFRW, President Sue Lynch thanks you for your warm hospitality!President Lynch also thanks the committee chairmen and leaders for their presentations, ideas and commitment to the organization. "Everybody came prepared, and it was a terrific meeting," Lynch says.
OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE RECOGNIZES NFRW
On March 10, the National Federation of Republican Women was honored by the Oklahoma State Legislature with a Citation of Appreciation.
