TUSTIN AREA REPUBLICAN WOMEN FEDERATED
Orange County, California
The Tustin Area Republican Women Federated is
located in Southern California in Orange County. Our club was
founded in 1973 under the name of Ivy Baker Priest Forum. Ivy Baker
Priest was the first woman treasurer of the United States, serving
from 1953 to 1961.
We like to educate our members, the youth, and the public. We also
host a variety of speakers at club meetings. Many of our speakers
are candidates for public office. Therefore, as the election nears,
we register Republicans, organize get-out-the-vote efforts, and
volunteer for events.
We love to help candidates win but we also believe community service
is important. We support several RWF scholarships, donate patriotic
books to local schools, and participate in Youth Advocacy, a program
that teaches young girls about state government. We also support the
military! At each meeting, we write notes to our adopted military
personnel and collect items for packages to send overseas.
Our members are great! Among our associate members are four members
of our city council, our supervisor, assemblyman and state senator.
Our 80 active members consist of various ages, occupations, faiths
and backgrounds. We attribute some of our successes to our
interaction. We like to support each other, work as a team and have
fun in the process.
