FEDERATION PROFILE

The South Dakota Federation is comprised of 15 clubs with more than 650 members. In addition to holding a biennial convention, members raise funds, work in Republican campaigns at all levels and provide community service across the state. Members have been active for the last four years in the Angel Tree project, through which they purchase gifts for children on reservations who have a parent serving time in prison. In 2005, all nine reservations were covered by members. In the 2004 election, 1,500 new Republican voters were registered on the reservations.
