But besides being more protective of her freedoms and more concerned about healthcare options, Tudor Dixon was spurred to run for Michigan's top office because the policies enacted by current governor Gretchen Whitmer touched a nerve. Tudor's beloved grandmother died in 2020 alone in a nursing home - of a broken heart from being locked away from her family. Her husband’s grandmother died the same day, alone in a hospital.
