Today and every March 29, Vietnam Veterans Day is set aside as a day for Americans to honor the courage and sacrifice of those who served in the Vietnam War. Officially designated in 2017 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day by President Donald Trump, the holiday is marked by ceremonies and recognition across the U.S.

The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in combat and honors the recipient’s extraordinary heroism and risk of life while demonstrating the values of Courage, Sacrifice, Citizenship, Integrity, Commitment, and Patriotism. 

As a result of the heroic duties of dogs, March 13^th is now National K9 Veterans Day. As a nation, this is an opportunity for us to learn more about the service of K9 veterans, including the service of various dogs, along with all of the specific types of training the dogs go through. We are indebted to the service of these heroes as they protect our nation at the side of our brave military.

The U.S. Navy Reserve Birthday is celebrated on March 3 to commemorate the establishment of the United States Navy Reserve.  

From pioneer women to the women of today, America has been home to some of the most innovative and fearless heroines in modern history. Though many go unrecognized for their actions, we will look at three American heroines who forged through trials to inspire generations of young women. These women are Sybil Ludington, Grace Hopper, and Ellen Ochoa.
