I do not think we should use the word "control" - there must be a better word. The US just does not "control" other countries. We help other countries in various ways. I also think the people of Greenland should have a vote/voice in the leadership and destination of their country.

Not by force. Not by threat. This is "Putin-Style". But if some deal could be made for a base there, or to purchase the territory through agreement, then "Yes".

Any acquisition that will put China and Russia at a disadvantage and the U.S. in a position to continue to protect America from hostile countries. Definitely should Greenland be acquired by peaceful means.

I believe that a mutual agreement should be sought. We should never force outselves on another country just as we would not want that to occur here. I, also, believe that it should not be all about minerals. Our security is a real concern and we should, therefore, seek this agreement on that basis. The wealth to come from minerals is secondary.

I would want to be sovereign if i was in Greenland. Break away from Denmark so far away. If Denmark thinks they own/control Greenland give us back the tax dollars we have been using for many years to protect Greenland. We have about the same number of people in our county as Greenland has. We have minerals too. I am over using our military to fund the world. let Greenland pay their own way. If Greenland is upset take a vote. Let's see what the people of Greenland have to say. By the way, do they use Dominion voting systems???????

I agree that the word "control" is a strong word. I agree with others that we can pursue agreements for a strong military presence as protection for the United States which is one of the primary goals. I believe that the Greenlanders have the right to decide what they want for their future as far as citizenship is concerned.

Why fight with our ally? We need to be cultivating positive relationships with them. We need to negotiate with Denmark and Greenland to get access for the military bases we need.

I know that the President's team will figure out how to protect the people of Greenland, and compensate them for restricting some of the land for "military only" use due to the danger. The land is basically unwanted or too expensive for anyone else in the West to protect. He is right to take the initiative, unlike the do-nothing pols we've been putting up with. We are becoming sitting ducks for some very bad actors. The time is now.

Danish pride has no place. It's foolish when the moslem insurgents are openly taking over the EU nations. Germany, France, Portugal, Spain and now Britain Islam is hand-in-glove-compatible with communism. Both enshrine bloody totalitarian control as the main feature of their style of government. The Danes can't manage this property. We should certainly use the minerals to compensate for the NATO protection. The West will not survive without positive action to prevent our fall.

I think we need more intelligence information on Greenland. Even though being under the safety net of the US rather than Denmark would be a smart move for Greenland!! We live in dangerous times.
