The Health Care Battle in the House
Democrats are still plotting how to pass their health
care bill by any means necessary. The latest scheme is a
procedural hoax being developed by Speaker Pelosi and House
Rules Committee Chairman Louise Slaughter (D-NY). Under the
reconciliation plan, the House would approve the Senate's
bill and then fix problem areas using "sidecar" amendments
which would be sent to the Senate to pass with a simple
majority instead of the 60 votes.
