SYMBOLS OF OUR NATION: The majestic Statue of Liberty’s Torch, the beacon of freedom and liberty, is proudly held high by Lady Liberty.
The NFRW Americanism Program seeks to promote respect and allegiance to the United States. We honor our country’s history, flag, customs and institutions. We also work to secure a strong America for tomorrow’s generations.
The Statue of Liberty is one of the most recognizable statues in the world. It is often seen as a symbol of freedom and justice, core principles in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
The Statue of Liberty is also a statue of a woman. With Lady Liberty’s Torch calmly leading the way, she inspires generations of Americans to bring freedom and stability to her people.
Today, Republican women have the opportunity to provide inspirational leadership to light the pathway for American greatness.
Together we can make a real difference and shape the future of our great nation. Join us as we work toward a brighter tomorrow, fueled by the values of everyday Americans.
Conducting Our Mission:
Republican women’s clubs conduct this mission in their local communities through educational and inspirational programs and projects. Examples include:
- Programs about the laws for legal immigration and the history of Ellis Island; the tenets of the Bill of Rights; the true story of the Republican Party’s women's suffrage movement in America; amazing patriotic women in each state
- Teaching the rules of flag etiquette and presenting flags to schools and community groups
- Donating patriotic books to schools, libraries and community centers
- Sponsoring patriotic essay contests
- Presenting a tribute award to a person who served above and beyond for the cause of Americanism
To aid clubs in their local efforts, the NFRW Americanism Committee assembles historic and patriotic material and provides resources, project ideas and other helpful information. Americanism Resource Page [members only]
