Vote by mail (absentee voting) has been appropriately available to those who are physically unable to get to the polls; however, I do not support vote by mail as the only option. That would be an invitation to voter fraud.

We in Washington State have been voting by mail for more than a decade. Because each ballot's signature is verified to the voter's actual signature recorded when they registered to vote, I feel my vote is more secure than the "old" way. The last time I voted at a polling place, no one checked my identification and no one compared my signature, when I signed the book, to anything.

Our Secretary of State, Kim Wyman (who is a member of the Washington Federation of Republican Women), insures that the actual tabulation of votes is not accessible to the internet. I am supremely confident that our elections are not being hacked.

We do not have Voter Fraud in Washington State. Any state considering Vote By Mail should talk to Secretary Wyman and adopt the same controls as we have in place here.

If states like Oregon and Washington have systems exclusively vote-by-mail, then let's all be glad they are irreversibly blue states that will never elect a Republican anyway. Our country's elections are already a nightmare of Democrat party registration and voter fraud. National vote-by-mail would make sure a Republican never again got elected anywhere. Not unless that Republican had at least 60% of the vote! Voter fraud will already be massive this coming November. With national vote-by-mail, we may as well give up and stay home.

Vote by mail is just asking for voter fraud. The mail service here is a problem besides. Our mail form southern New Mexico goes to El Paso Texas, gets postmarked then back to New Mexico, no NM postmark. Other border cities are the same. If I mail a card to my neighbor, it still goes to El Paso then back. A lot of local mail is also misdelivered or lost. I am still missing a Christmas package from 3 years ago. According to tracking, last location is .......you guessed it, El Paso, Texas.

I agree that sending a ballot by mail to everyone is asking for fraud and waste, especially here in California where voter rolls have not been properly maintained in many counties for years (that is, combed through to eliminate duplication, deceased, moved voters and those who have not voted for more than 2 presidential election cycles! - I think if you skipped a presidential election plus 1 other, you should need to re-confirm your registration!).

I live in a county where we have an excellent Registrar of Voters and new equipment, and in the last Primary, we had adequate Voting Centers for those who preferred to vote in person (while other counties had voters in line for 7 hours after the 8 pm closing!). However, I'm still not convinced there was no fraud, since with Vote By Mail, it's possible to register extra names at addresses but have ballots delivered to a P.O. Box, so that the residents of the house don't even know there are other people registered at their address but using a P.O. Box, since they never receive those voting materials in their home mail box.

Unfortunately, there's never enough money for candidates to investigate following an election, but we know this has happened, and the Republican candidates lost weeks after Election Day due to huge numbers of last minute mail-in and harvested ballots.

Our club supports the work of the Election Integrity Project California, which won a lawsuit brought on their behalf by Judicial Watch. This confirmed that several counties actually had far more registered voters than citizens eligible for voting! And our state DMV messed up many voter registrations, including the changing of political parties!

That being said, I think it's probably much safer, health-wise, for current elections to be by mail-in, but there needs to be a better way to confirm voters live where they say they do, and not have ballots found trashed, etc.

Having voted for more then 50 years, in person at a polling place, I was forced to vote by mail for the CA25 run off. CA gave us no choice. I know not everyone can vote in person but that is something I hold very dear to me. Most changes to voting in CA have been made by Democrats and they always make the change to work in their favor. No voter I.D., DMV automatic registration, mail-in ballots, register and vote same day, voter rolls not cleaned up, ballot harvesting, etc. all have the potential for fraud. The Democrats are so power hungry, they will do anything to win even cheat. NO TO MAIL IN BALLOTS FOR THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!

If we can go to the grocery stores, lumber yards, home improvement stores, and movie theaters we should be able to get out and vote. Mail in only encourages fraud.

I would rather have a choice of going to the poles or mailing my vote in. When I lived in California my county was an all mail in county and there didn't seem to be a problem. But the county was small. I now live in Colorado and it is a state wide mail in ballot. Luckily, my county clerk-recorder is a strong Republican and supervises the elections very well

I do not support voting by mail unless the voter has a doctor's excuse providing information why the voter cannot get to the polling place. Voter fraud is too rampant. Mail carriers have been shown dumping ballots in trash bins. Those are just the ones that have been videoed. How many more have been trashed that were not seen?

Absentee voting has long provided adequate flexibility to REGISTERED voters while retaining election integrity. Don't fall for faulty logic of the public needing a new means of casting votes. It's just a ploy to stack the deck in the Democrats favor!
