Governor DeSantes of Florida has also suggested sending the illegals to Deleware and Martha’s Vineyard to visit Biden and Obama. He also wants to fine the airlines that are flying the illegals from the boarder.

Absolutely! Let the DC liberals that promote open borders experience just a little of what Texans (especially south Texans) have to deal with every day. When their community resources decline while their crime rates and cost of insurance begin to skyrocket, they may begin to understand the devastating effect illegal immigration has. And that's just the human toll. When you add the gang members, drug traffickers, and human smugglers, then things get really interesting.

I wholeheartedly approve of Gov. Abbotts’ actions. I wonder why other Republican governors aren’t using their power to do the exact same thing. If all Republican governors would respond in unison it would send DC an even more poignant message!! I’m in Arizona and we along with Texas are taking the brunt of the Democrats breaking the law and not protecting the borders. It is one of the legitimate constitutional responsibilities of the federal government and they are not doing it.

I would rather see him fly or bus them back to South America...if for some reason can't do that then getting them out of Red States might be best, except that they will probably pick up voting rights, licenses, etc in these states. Nothing should be free. Maybe Gov Abbott could charge them for the cost of gas to get them to DC or wherever he chooses to send them. Otherwise again the taxpayers are getting burdened with their costs.

I love that Governor Abbott is bussing the illegals to DC! Agree that all of the states should do that!

Its just a stunt that will back fire. We need to elect individuals that are better at pleading the case. Too many just shoot from the hip without the facts.

I agree with it, but it is mainly a publicity stunt. The illegals cannot be forced to get on the bus. As a Texan, I am very disappointed in the lack of REAL action to STOP the illegals. I believe our Governor likes to "talk the talk", but in reality, he is doing just enough to create soundbites, but has not stepped up to combat the situation the way he should.

Whoever is suppling buses or planes or trucks to transport illegal people need to be held accountable for breaking the law. If a person is illegally in our country anyone aiding that person is also guilty of breaking the law! Whoever is suppling these modes of transportation to anywhere in our country needs to be driving or flying the illegals back across the border they have come from. How are these illegal people even being allowed into our country?? As a US citizen I cannot fly or drive into a foreign country without my passport. I have to show my passport at hotels in foreign countries & to fly on any airline. When you drive across the border into Canada you have to state the reason for your VISIT, where you are going and how long you will be in country and show your passport! So transporting illegal folks anywhere in our country is a NO!

No. Shipping and. bussing them to another state is only a publicity stunt. And you have now just brought them further north. Just stop. They should not be able to come in illegally in the first place.

No!! They should NOT be let in at all! He has the power of our state to stop this—if anything they should go back the way they came. They are bringing drugs, crime, and sex trafficking into our beautiful state & country

I'm w/TinaWoodle, next above. Put them on buses or planes, drive around in the dark a while until the riders don't realize they are going south and then wa,la,la wecome to D. C. (Destination Complete) in Mexico!.

Illegals should be sent away from the border as far northeast as possible. Each bus should have a full load though. Not effective to send ten people on a huge bus!

If it will solve the current problems when it comes to illegal immigrants then do it. I think we need to know the root of the problem first.

Absolutely...if they make tent cities in DC, like they have in CA, maybe the Biden puppeteers will rethink open borders and amnesty. I'm not holding my breath, but the TX Gov is trying to get the attention of the country to get something done. I don't blame him for using a publicity stunt if it helps. Our borders should have never been opened to illegals.

It's hard to say what the really right thing to do is right now, but I hope Gov. Abbott actually thought that through. I'm all for giving the DC swamp a taste of their own medicine, but how to go about that is certainly a difficult decision. I have relatives in Mexico, some as poor as "my eyesight," yet they have managed to follow the legal recourse to obtain the necessary documentation to travel this way. The ones that have tourist Visas were not allowed to cross the border during the pandemic, not even to come visit family. Others have been denied access due to the fact that they had lost their job during the pandemic and therefore were categorized as visitors of potential financial hardship to the U.S. And my relatives live within walking distance from the border in southmost Texas, but they are Christian folks who believe in abiding by the laws of the land. So somebody help this make sense...absolutely incredulous!

Let's all support Go . Abbott in sending the illegals to D.C. I also think that he should send them to Delaware and Martha's Vineyard

Let their NGO's in those states absorb some of the costs associated with the influx of these people

I wish Gov Abbott would ship the "nasty" illegals, i.e., criminals, gang members, etc. To send legitimate people who really want to be here, WA DC cannot experience the actions of gang members and the crime in our neighborhoods.

I agree. If it will fix the existing problems with illegal immigrants, then go ahead and do it. I believe we must first identify the source of the problem.

I agree, maybe I don't understand this issue deeply, but I think the governor's action is also a reasonable measure.

One of the most important things we can do as citizens is to listen to each other. Our area is full of different people with different ideas and experiences. Through open dialogue, we can build a stronger community and make our voices heard above the noise.
