Lorie Legere was elected 2nd vice president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) at the 43rd Biennial Convention in Orlando, Florida, and took office in January 2026. She is the director of NFRW Region 5, which includes Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. She also is the advisor to the NFRW Legislation and Research Committee and the new Agriculture Committee.

Previously, Lorie served as Member-at-Large to the NFRW Executive Committee. 

Lorie has been a member of her home club, the Garfield County Republican Women’s club for over 43 years. She has served on their Executive Board for the last 37 years, serving in every board position numerous times, including five terms as club president. 

In addition to her local club activity, she has also been active with the Oklahoma Federation of Republication Women for the last 25 years, attending every state convention since 2001. She was honored to serve as OKFRW By-Laws Chair, Americanism Chair and President at Large for CD 3. In 2015, she was elected to their Executive Board to serve as 3rd Vice-President, as 2nd Vice-President in 2017, and then was elected to State President in 2019, and to a second term as State President in 2021. It was a tremendous honor for the NFRW National Convention to come to Oklahoma in 2023. During her two terms as State President, Lorie also served on the Fundraising Committee for NFRW, and as an alternate to the 2023 NFRW Nominating Committee. 

Professionally, Lorie has worked at the Garfield County Courthouse for the last 43 years. Then in 2016, she was honored to be elected unopposed to the position of Garfield County Clerk, and re-elected again in 2020 and 2024. During her term as County Clerk, she was appointed to serve as a board member of the Oklahoma County Clerk’s Advisory Committee, as a member of the Legislative Committee of the County Clerk’s Association, and has been a guest presenter to assist with training classes for new County Clerk’s with the Oklahoma State University County Training Program. In November 2023, Lorie was elected to serve as President of the NW District County Clerk’s Association. 

Lorie is married to her best friend Jack Legere. Together they love to travel, spend time with their family, and follow local, state and national GOP politics.
