Lorie Legere was elected member-at-large of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) Executive Committee at the 42nd Biennial Convention in Oklahoma City and took office in January 2024. She is the director of NFRW Region 3, which includes Colorado, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. She also is the advisor to the NFRW Armed Services and Literacy committees.

Lorie has been a member of her home club, Garfield County Republican Women’s Club, for over 40 years. She has served on the club's executive board for 35 years, serving in every board position numerous times, including five terms as club president. She also has been active with the Oklahoma Federation of Republication Women for the last 23 years, attending every state convention since 2001. She was honored to serve as OKFRW By-Laws chair, Americanism chair and president-at-large for CD 3. She was elected to the OKFRW Executive Board to serve as 3rd vice president in 2015, 2nd vice president in 2017, and president in 2019 and again in 2021.

It was a tremendous honor for the NFRW Biennial Convention to come to Oklahoma in 2023. During her two terms as state president, Lorie also served on the NFRW Fundraising Committee and as an alternate to the 2023 NFRW Nominating Committee. 

In addition to her role within the OKFRW, she has also served on the executive board of her local Garfield County GOP since 2009. She has served as vice chair numerous times, 3rd District committee member, state committee member, and county chair in 2011-2012. She has been honored to also serve on the Oklahoma State GOP Executive Committee during her time as state president of the OKFRW. In 2020, Lorie was selected to be a delegate to the Republican National Convention in Charlotte. 

Professionally, Lorie has worked at the Garfield County Courthouse for 40 years. In 2016, she was honored to be elected unopposed to the position of Garfield County Clerk, and re-elected again in 2020. During her term as county clerk, she was appointed to serve as a board member of the Oklahoma County Clerk’s Advisory Committee and as a member of the Legislative Committee of the County Clerk’s Association. She has been a guest presenter to assist with training classes for new county clerks with the Oklahoma State University County Training Program. In 2023, Lorie was elected to serve as president of the NW District County Clerk’s Association. 

Lorie is married to her best friend, Jack Legere. Together they love to travel, spend time with their family, serve in their local county GOP, and follow local, state and national GOP politics.
