Heidi Parker Martin was elected member-at-large of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) Executive Committee at the 41st Biennial Convention in Orlando and took office in January 2022. She is the director of NFRW Region 1, which includes Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. She also is the advisor to the NFRW Caring for America Committee.
Previously, Heidi served on the NFRW Fundraising Committee as chair, vice chair and member. Her motto is, “How can I help?”
On the state level, Heidi has served the Louisiana Federation of Republican Women (LFRW) in many capacities, including region vice president, recording secretary, treasurer and 2nd vice president. Heidi is the founding president of Bayou Teche Republican Women, which has transitioned into LFRW’s only virtual club, Pelican State Republican Women. She chaired the LFRW 30th Biennial Convention and has served on the Nominating, Membership and Fundraising committees.
In 2020 Heidi was re-elected to the Iberia Parish Republican Executive Committee. She was also re-elected to serve as its chair. In 2021, Heidi was elected to serve on the LAGOP State Central Committee. Additionally, she is a LAGOP Trust member and a member of the LAGOP Pelican Club.
Heidi likes to say that her conservative activism began when she was 5 years old. At that time, her mother was running a gubernatorial candidate’s campaign from their home. Heidi helped answer the phone (“Treen for Governor!”) and put up signs throughout the neighborhood — few people could resist a 5-year-old’s request to put a sign in their yard!
Heidi is a businesswoman and has worked for her family’s manufacturing company for the past 26 years. She was selected to participate in the Louisiana Economic Development CEO Roundtable and the Iberia Parish Leadership Iberia program.
Inspired by her mother’s civic involvement, Heidi serves her community in a variety of areas. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce and the Iberia Parish Habitat for Humanity. She is also appointed to the Iberia Parish Tourist Commission. Heidi is proud to be a Berry Queen, the “fun”-raisers for Habitat. In addition, she donates design and print services to many local non-profit organizations.
Heidi has been a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church in her hometown of New Iberia, Louisiana. She has been married to Andy Martin for 14 years and is the proud bonus mom to Joseph, 23, and Cloie, 19. As her mother did, Heidi has exposed both of her children to conservative activism. On the day each turned 18, Heidi brought them to the Registrar of Voter’s office to sign up to vote and is proud that both registered Republican!
