Marilyn Harris was elected secretary of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) at the 41st Biennial Convention in Orlando and took office in January 2022. She is the director of NFRW Region 5, which includes Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee. She is the advisor to the NFRW Literacy, Protocol and Sergeants-at-Arms committees. 

Marilyn was a College Republican and continued to work for the Republican Party and Republican candidates after she graduated. While living in Texas, she was a delegate for Reagan and Bush, as well as an election judge and precinct secretary.

After moving to Colorado, Marilyn served as president of her county Republican women’s club for four years and as president of the Colorado Federation of Republican Women for four years.

Marilyn served as NFRW State Presidents coordinator in 2020-2021. She has attended every NFRW convention since 2011, has served on the NFRW Board of Directors on several committees, including Bylaws, and was elected to the NFRW Nominating Committee. She was an NFRW Regent from 2015-2018 and has been an NFRW Capitol Regent since 2018.

For the past six years, Marilyn has served as chair of her County Republican Party. In 2017, she was elected to the Colorado Republican Hall of Fame and recently was elected Colorado Republican Party Secretary.

Through the years, Marilyn has worked on numerous Republican campaigns for local, statewide and national candidates. She has taught 4H at the county level for the past 15 years.

“I love my country, and I love NFRW,” she says. “I will continue to work to protect and preserve our freedom and help bring our nation back to the great county we know it can be.”
