Our Host City

Welcome to Indianapolis (friends call it Indy!) A city known for fast cars and some blockbuster events, Indianapolis also boasts a flourishing culinary scene, thriving cultural institutions, great neighborhoods and so much more.

From the moment you land at the airport, which has received high ratings for everything from security lines to baggage claim, you will find a city that knows how to show its guests a good time.

A 15 minute cab ride from the airport will get you downtown, and one of the first sites that might catch your eye is the stunning blue glass of the JW Marriott Indianapolis – our host hotel for the convention. The JW Indianapolis is located in the heart of this vibrant and walkable city.

Urban explorers can stroll to a collection of monuments and memorials rivaled only by Washington, D.C. Be sure to get a photo at Monument Circle, the physical and spiritual heart of the city, and take your children or grandchildren to the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, the largest children’s museum in the world.

No visit to the city would be complete without a visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Indianapolis 500 is the world’s largest single day sporting event. In 1909, 3.2 million bricks were laid to create the track, giving it its name – “The Brickyard.” The track is so large that Churchill Downs, Yankee Stadium, the Rose Bowl, the Roman Coliseum and Vatican City all can fit inside the iconic oval.

Enjoy your visit and remember, if you ever need help, just find a local. Hoosier Hospitality is what they are known for, and the citizens of Indianapolis are always eager to share the best of their city with you.
