Washington County Federated Republican Women of Johnson City, TN, had the privilege of entering a float built like a boat in the Fourth of July Parade in Jonesborough, TN.
The float was built piece by piece, with a sail waving the name of the club. President Sharon Boreing's husband designed the float. As the float went down Main Street, many applauded. Members handed out smiles, candy and information about the club.
Since the parade, others have asked for the float to be brought to rallies for President Donald J. Trump and other parades. The float's picture made two local newspapers.
