Will Work to End Human Trafficking, Protect Conservative Voices on College Campuses

Jackson, MS - The Mississippi Federation of Republican Women (MFRW) has chosen to continue its support of efforts to end human trafficking in the state. Also, the Federation voted to support the protection of conservative voices on college campuses across Mississippi at its Annual Spring Board of Directors meeting and Legislative Day held in Jackson.

"The MFRW realizes that human trafficking is an ongoing issue and we will continue our fight against it. We will continue to bring awareness, support legislation and measures to help victims, and shut down traffickers in our state," said MFRW President Keri Abernathy, in making the announcement. MFRW local clubs around Mississippi have posted thousands of hotline stickers in public spaces displaying the national hotline number and sponsored a statewide billboard campaign to bring awareness.

The MFRW is in full support of the protection of conservative voices on college campuses across our state. The organization supports legislation which holds state-funded institutions of higher learning accountable for denying a religious, political, or ideological student organization a benefit or privilege available to another student, or otherwise discriminate against an organization based on the expression of the organization.

The Mississippi Federation of Republican Women is affiliated with the National Federation of Republican Women, one of the largest grassroots political organizations in the country. If you are interested in becoming involved with Republican women, please visit mississippifrw.org.
