Club Donates 60 Filled Duffle Bags to Veterans
Each year, Gulf Coast Federated Republican Women proudly hosts a special outreach event dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless veterans in Sarasota. It is the club's way of giving back to the brave men and women who have served our country and sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms.
On Thursay, club members baked and came together to bag dozens of homemade cookies in anticipation of Saturday’s event. The spirit of service was alive and well as we worked side by side, knowing each small act would make a meaningful difference. We also stuffed 60 duffle bags full of toiletry supplies, rechargeable razors, socks and beanies, pocket Constitutions, (Republican) vote-by-mail information, freshly bagged yummy cookies and more.
On Saturday, we distributed all 60 fully stocked duffle bags to homeless veterans. These bags provided not only practical necessities, but also encouragement, dignity, and appreciation.
This annual effort is more than an event — it is a reminder that we will never forget those who served. We are honored to stand in the gap for our veterans in Sarasota and remain committed to continuing this meaningful tradition for years to come!
