Club Celebrates Women's Suffrage in July 4th Parade

Brunswick County Republican Women's Club of North Carolina took to the parade route to celebrate and commemorate Women's Suffrage.  It started two years ago with Past President Kathy Lawler, who came up with the idea for the 100th anniversary of Women's Suffrage.

Well we all know what happened - everything was canceled.  But the idea never faded, and our Vice President and Women's Suffrage Chair Debbie Dennis, didn't let the idea go.  She worked very hard organizing the parade event.  Our members immediately got excited, and so on this day of celebration we were able to recreate where it all began 102 years ago.

Special guests riding on the float were Laura Morgan, Mrs. Senior America and the next U.S. Senator for North Carolina, Ted Budd, along with the Brunswick County Republican Women, who are the "Heart of the Party."

Our club is so blessed to have ladies willing to always work hard keeping North Carolina and our Country Red. God Bless the United States of America.
