Six Republican Women's Clubs Welcome Travelers to Montgomery County

Visitors and others driving into one of the most Republican counties in the U.S. - Montgomery County, TX - are welcomed by the six Republican women's clubs that together claim over 600 members. The clubs' sign a few miles inside the Montgomery County line also alerts drivers when they are leaving the Red county. 

Six members of the clubs met April 28 for photos at the sign, which was installed beside a busy highway just before the November election. The chairman of the Montgomery County Republican Party, who is also a member of one of the clubs, joined them, as did the Pct. 1 County Commissioner, his chief of staff, and the owners of the property on which the sign is installed. 

Ann Kate, member of one of the clubs, got the idea for the sign when she saw one erected by the Republican women's group in Carbon County, Montana. 

The six clubs are East Montgomery County RW, Lake Conroe Area RW, Liberty Belles RW, Montgomery County RW, North Shore RW, and The Woodlands RW.
