Club Hosts Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions
To celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, North Baldwin Republican Women hosted former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions as guest speaker.
General Sessions shared that our laws were derived from our founding country, England, at the time of the original settling of our nation. Following, General Sessions stressed that our laws are to be defended as written. General Sessions underscored the position of Alexander Hamilton who once stated that it was "not the job of judges to make law, that their role under the Constitution was simply to enforce the Constitutions and laws as they were written."
It was a remarkable day in the history of our young club to host such a renowned patriot who served our country with honor and integrity.
