Club Hosts Membership Drive and Social
The Hanover Republican Women's Club hosted its annual summer social on June 25 at the Shalom House Retreat in Montpelier, Virginia.
We were treated with special music by the Commonwealth Fife & Drum Duo (Josh Batesman & Michelle Matts). The music was fantastic and definitely set the stage for a patriotic event!
Our keynote speaker was Xi Van Fleet. Ms. Van Fleet was born in China and experienced communism first hand. She was excited to have the opportunity to come to America to live. Recently she noticed that characteristics of communism are starting to show in America. Disturbed by this, Ms. Van Fleet attended her local school board meeting and voiced her concerns about critical race theory (CRT). Her comments went viral, and she has become a sought after speaker.
