Club is Small but Mighty in Serving Community
Bates County Republican Women may be a small club, but they prove over and over again that you don't need large numbers to make big impacts.
Among so many great things that these ladies are doing, they are particularly proud to be a significant part in bringing The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall, to Bates County, Missouri — the only Missouri stop in 2026 for the Wall. The club raised $1,000 toward the project, directly contributing to the successful arrival of this nationally recognized traveling memorial.
The Wall That Heals provided a powerful space for Vietnam veterans, their families, and community members to reflect, heal, and connect. By helping bring this memorial to Bates County, the club helped create an opportunity for thousands of Missourians to experience the history and legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial firsthand.
Our club’s commitment was demonstrated not only financially but through extraordinary volunteer participation. Over half of our members volunteered daily throughout the event, and combined, contributed over 100 service hours. Members served in roles including: greeters welcoming visitors, information desk support, volunteer coordination, tour guides, prayer leaders, speakers, and logistical and hospitality support.
Additionally, Club Treasurer Jami Page served as Chair for the Bates County Wall that Heals Committee, ensuring strong leadership, accountability, and coordination with local partners.
This level of involvement showcases the organizational strength and civic responsibility of Bates County Republican Women. By supporting The Wall That Heals, our club demonstrated how Republican women lead with compassion, service, and dedication to preserving the values that define our nation.
