Club to Celebrate Five-Year Anniversary in June

The Wood County Republican Women's Club of Ohio will celebrate five years as a Federated club in Wood County in June. We celebrate our success and work toward new goals!

While the original club began in 1935 and had 550 members at one time, we are happy to bring back the work and memories of WCRW. Our club will celebrate five years with the presentation of two scholarships to high school graduates attending college in the fall. Our speaker for this event will be Jane Timken, OFRW member, former GOP Chair in Ohio, and candidate for US Senate from Ohio.

Our goals are many and our leadership in this club is broad with a 6th District Court of Appeals Judge, Common Pleas Judge, County Commissioner, County Treasurer, former County Clerk, former County Commissioner and the first woman County Commissioner, business owners, school board members, teachers, retirees with great ideas, all supporting and working for the good of the party and county.

Our programs for our community range from CASA, to veterans, to helping the local trade school, PENTA Career Center, with groceries for students in need.

Rallies for Donald Trump took us all over the State of Ohio in cars and boats, and on foot!  At our fall dinner, Judge Woessner presented information on the CASA program and installed new officers for 2021-2022

We look forward to our new growth in members and serving our community and GOP in Ohio. Many of our members attended the Indianapolis Convention and look forward to attending the Orlando Convention.
